FOXO4-DRI is an experimental senolytic peptide designed to selectively trigger death in senescent cells — dysfunctional cells that accumulate with age and drive inflammation. It is one of the most discussed compounds in longevity research.

FOXO4-DRI is an experimental senolytic peptide — a designed molecule whose job is to selectively kill senescent cells. Senescent cells are damaged cells that stop dividing but refuse to die, lingering in tissues and pumping out inflammatory signals that drive many features of aging. FOXO4-DRI works by disrupting the interaction between the FOXO4 protein and p53 inside senescent cells, freeing p53 to trigger self-destruction selectively in those cells while sparing healthy ones.
