Q1What's the one peptide you find yourself recommending more than any other right now, and why?
We don't recommend peptides for any personal use. We supply research materials, and research use is the only use we talk about. What we do recommend, every time, is a habit: before buying any compound, open the certificate for the exact lot you would receive and check it with the laboratory that issued it. Our lots released since late July carry the full eight-test panel, and every lot's report is public.
Q2What's the most common mistake you see people make when they first come to you about peptides?
Trusting a purity number without asking which lot it belongs to. A certificate for a different lot, or one with no laboratory name, accession number or way to look it up, says nothing about the bottle in front of you. Match the lot number on the bottle to the lot number on the report first.
Q3What's something about the peptide industry the average person would be surprised to learn?
How much a single purity figure leaves out. Purity by HPLC is one line on a certificate. Identity by mass spectrometry, net peptide content, endotoxin, heavy metals and a microbial screen are separate tests, and a certificate only covers the tests it actually lists.
Q4If someone reading this is just starting to research peptides, what's the one thing you'd tell them before they buy from anyone?
Ask for the certificate for the exact lot you would receive, then confirm it on the laboratory's own site, not just on the seller's. If a seller can't show you that, keep looking. Q5What's a question patients/clients should be asking but usually don't?
Who tested this exact lot, and can I check the result with them myself? A good supplier answers both with a lab name and a lookup code. And one more: if a lot is ever recalled or a product retired, does its record stay public? Ours do.
